J.E. Birk, also known as Johanna Parkhurst, writes award-winning and bestselling LGBTQ+ fiction and romance. She firmly believes in giving her perfectly imperfect characters the happily ever afters they all deserve. Johanna is a Colorado Book Award winner, a Rainbow Romance Award winner, and she has had multiple novels listed as bestsellers in various Amazon categories. J.E./Johanna is a long-time lover of all types of genre fiction, and she’s proud to be the director of the MA/MFA Genre Fiction program at Western Colorado University.

Johanna is a long-time teacher who is happiest in any writing classroom. She was a Faculty of the Year recipient at Pueblo Community College and a Faculty Mentor of the Year recipient at Western Colorado University. She enjoys paddleboarding, skiing, and traveling. She does not enjoy vacuuming.

My books can be read in any order! If you enjoy reading chronologically, here's my suggestion for how to read the Vino and Veritas, Devon Falls, and ILYBSM books, as those books all take place in the same universe:

  1. First, read the Vino and Veritas books (Booklover and then Counterpoint)
  1. Next, read the Devon Falls books in series order
  2. After that, read the ILYBSM books in series order

But seriously: read in whatever order you like. Mood reading is real.
